'Plasti-scene' is a Scientific research based imaginative narrative that explores the potential consequences of microplastics becoming integrated into the biology of humans and nonhumans after the 6th Great Extinction. Through the lens of 'outsiders' (aliens) visiting Earth's disrupted ecosystem, the narrative envisions a world where humans and animals coexist, emphasizing our place as a part of the interconnected system rather than exceptional creatures.

The playful narrative introduces the concept of 'Plasti-Scene’, A Scene full of Plastic, a new fictional geological epoch born from a scene abundant with plastic. This creative approach educates the audience about the potential future implications of our environmental actions, effectively symbolized by plastic. Cultural influences, particularly exposure to microplastics, result in 'Plasticization' among both humans and nonhumans, fostering a transverse force that reconnects species, categories, and domains, thanks to symbiogenesis through plastic.

Ultimately, plastic serves as a metaphor for the consequences of Anthropocentrism and becomes a tool to equalize the status of humans and nonhumans in this envisaged future. The narrative prompts contemplation on the interdependence of all living beings and the need to take responsibility for our impact on the planet.

&#38;lt;Some kind of Marathon&#38;gt; is a novel that delves into human race of life. Inspired by the story, I illustrated the experiences the protagonist goes through before deciding to run a marathon. These include unfamiliar heartbeats and being trapped in a sea of negative thoughts. The cover conveys the message that everyone has their own pace and, in the end, leaves these struggles behind to run the marathon.

Commissioned by Future Fibres Network+ (FFN+), I’ve collaborated with 85 industry and academic leaders from fashion, textiles, and environmental science to visualise the leaks within the textile ecosystem—those messy, hidden dispersions of fibres and chemicals into our air, water, and soil.

This illustration emerged from a workshop at the Futures Fibres Network Plus (FFN+) townhall at The Design Museum. Rather than idealizing perfectly ‘circular’ value chains, we chose to represent the uncomfortable truths: the complexity, the fragmentation, and the potential for transformation.


Guided by the insights of participants, we mapped the flows and frictions between people, materials, and environments. The image is intentionally provocative—designed to spark dialogue and help reimagine the textile system for a more sustainable future.

Each piece represents a small rupture, a glimpse into the invisible flows of the textile system—fibres, chemicals, and lives entangled. When broken apart, the system becomes visible.

	United Nations COP28 Longlisted Project&#38;nbsp;


Kibitzers is a scientific research narrative that explores the Anthropocene by using Jenga as a symbolic representation of Earth, depicting a possible future if human actions, or our game playing with Earth, continues. This imaginative storyline unfolds as "kibitzers" participate in a game of Jenga, sharing ideas on how to modify and manipulate the Jenga structure, ultimately leading to its inevitable collapse. This act of 'kibitzing' symbolises the cumulative cultural behaviours of humans, where information is passed down, often with the intent of exploiting the Earth. The narrative highlights these collective behaviors to illustrate how humans have played a significant role in the onset of the Anthropocene epoch and the looming peril of the Sixth Great Extinction.

This thought-provoking essay ‘Kibitzers’ serves as a 'Kit' for humanity, offering strategies to avert the 'Sixth Great Extinction' through embracing the concept of Chthulucene. Humors and metaphors are employed as the visual language to educate the audience about the prevailing narratives of inevitability and the significance of forging connections with animals, fostering a harmonious coexistence.
